Chestnut Flour
Due to overwhelming demand, we’ve started offering chestnut flour from nuts grown by our friends in Ohio, while we build the infrastructure to mill flour from our own crop. Chestnut flour is a nutritious and delicious gluten-free flour that we use to make cookies, biscuits, brownies, polenta, porridge, necci, and many other delicious ideas you can see here.
Chestnut flour is available in two grinds — coarse and fine. Fine flour is finely milled and a great versatile flour for all kinds of baked goods, bread, and pasta. Coarse flour is an unsifted “home style” flour that is more coarsely milled and offers a texture more like a medium corn meal. We love using coarse in some baked goods and also for polenta, grits, or porridge.
Chestnut flour is gluten-free and a good source of complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamin C, B vitamins, and minerals like potassium and magnesium.
We are SOLD OUT of fine flour at the moment. You may pre-order fine flour and we will fulfill as soon as we can. The mill where our fine flour is milled is temporarily closed for repairs.
Please note, we fulfill orders on the first and third weeks of each month.
