Raw Honey

Raw Honey
Pure, raw honey from happy, healthy bees and thousands of flowers from our forests, pastures, and orchards. Raw honey can offer many health benefits — but a surprising amount of the “honey” sold in the U.S. is either not real honey or has been adulterated. So, it’s worth sourcing real, raw honey from farmers you know and trust. Many beekeepers use toxic chemicals to manage pest infections, we do not use antibiotics and give organic-compliant treatments only when necessary.
All of our honey is now in varying states of crystallization. Honey crystallization is a natural process that occurs in all pure honey when sugars precipitate out of the liquid, forming tiny crystals. This process doesn’t affect the shelf life or flavor of the honey and is a great indication that your honey is pure. Many people prefer crystallized honey because it is easier to use, think: a dollop on cheese and crackers, a drip-free spoonful in tea, a no-mess peanut butter and honey sandwich.
If you prefer your honey in liquid form, you can place the jar of honey in warm water 95°F to 110°F (35°C to 43°C). Depending on how crystalized it has become, you may need to stir it and/or replace the warm water as it cools to room temperature.
Our honey is produced on our farms in Greenwich, NY and Salem, NY. Available in glass 1-lb and 3-lb jars. Apiary operations led by Breadtree farmers Eliza Killo, Jasper Williams, and Chairman Nathaniel Young.
