Name the trees that will feed future generations!

You‘ve probably heard of Gala, Granny Smith, and Pink Lady apples. Those are each clones of trees that someone selected and named. Unlike apple orchard though, we grow thousands of individual seedling chestnuts. Some of these individuals will become the named parents of future generations of chestnut trees. Given that we do not know yet which trees will be most successful, we are offering the opportunity to name three trees to increase the odds of picking a winner.

These names as well as annual data will be made available to the public via a webmap hosted on our website in the next year. This way, even if you cannot visit the orchard, you can stay up to date with the trees you have named, their growth, challenges, and production.
