Fresh Chestnuts (Pre-0rder)
Fresh chestnuts are seasonally available in the fall, with harvest usually falling between Sept 15 and Oct 25. All of our orchards are certified organic, and we also aggregate from other small growers with both organic orchards and uncertified orchards practicing organic management. Certified organic will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Chestnuts must be refrigerated and will last for 2-3 months if stored properly.
Orders are fulfilled until we sell out. Please email bug@breadtreefarms.com if you would like to reserve chestnuts for this fall.

Silvopasture Lamb
Our lambs graze on diverse pastures between young orchard trees, with a rich diet of grasses, clover, plantain, chicory, and some supplemental tree fodder (e.g. mulberry leaves), but no grain ration. The lambs have 24/7 access to free-choice vitamins and shade. Our farm and animals are managed beyond organic standards (and our chestnuts are certified organic) but the meat is not certified organic.
We have some rib and loin chops, and ground lamb available from our 2025 season.
We are also taking pre-orders for our 2026 lambing season. For this year, we are experimenting with doing whole, fresh delivery to interested restaurants. If this is you, please reach out to bug@breadtreefarms.com.

Chestnut Flour
Chestnut flour is a nutritious and delicious gluten-free flour that we use to make cookies, bread, biscuits, brownies, polenta, porridge, necci, and many other delicious recipes. Flour is available in two grinds — coarse and fine. Fine flour is finely milled and a great versatile flour for all kinds of baked goods, bread, and pasta. Coarse flour is an unsifted “home style” flour that is more coarsely milled and offers a texture more like a stoneground corn meal. We love using coarse flour in many baked goods and also for polenta, grits, or porridge.
For retail sale, flour is available in 1lb, 2lb, and 5lb kraft paper bags.

Raw Honey
Pure, raw honey from happy, healthy bees and the thousand flowers of our forests, pastures, and orchards this spring and summer season (2025). We do not use antibiotics and give organic-compliant treatments only when necessary. Our honey is produced on farm in Greenwich, NY and Salem, NY. Available in 1-lb and 3-lb glass jars for retail sales, or 5 gallon buckets for wholesale customers.

Seaberry (Pre-order)
Extraordinary Northern citrus alternative. Vibrant, nutritious orange berries can be pressed into juice with a unique & intense tropical flavor reminiscent of pineapple and citrus. A superfood packed with vitamins E, A, K, B12, and C (8x that of oranges), plus all 4 omega fatty acids.
By the end of the spring, Breadtree will have about 18 acres of seaberry planted which will be bearing about 12000 lbs/year within 5 years! While we wait for our plants to come into production, we are harvesting seaberry from other mature plantings in the Northeast (managed by friends or collaborators) to help build awareness. We are currently taking pre-orders for 2026 harvest.

Maple Syrup
Pure, wood-fired maple syrup from hardwood forests on our farm in Salem, NY, along the Vermont border. Maple syrup is an ancient tradition and a sustainable, regional source of sugar. Maple syrup is bottled while boiling hot, so glass bottles ensure a clean syrup free of chemicals that can otherwise leach out of plastic at high temperatures. Grade A, Dark Color, Robust Taste. Offered in glass pints and quarts.
